A family man, David Hutcheon has been building communities and finding homes in Toronto for decades. That is why he can find you a home in his favourite neighbourhoods: Baby Point, the Beach, Bloor West, High Park, Humber Valley, the Kingsway, Leslieville, Roncesvalles, Parkdale, West Toronto, Swansea and beyond….
His experience as a professional mediator and adjudicator comes to the fore when he is negotiating on your behalf to buy or sell a property. He was Vice Chair of the Environmental Review Tribunal, a hearing officer for the Niagara Escarpment and served as a hearing officer for the Rental Housing Tribunal.
David knows his way around City Hall and government. He is a former City of Toronto Councillor, Deputy Mayor, and was the last Budget Chief of the old City of Toronto. He served as executive assistant to the Mayor of Etobicoke. Among David’s community projects has been a drive to help the homeless and building a rent-geared-to-income residence for seniors and single people. No wonder, the Toronto Real Estate Board was quick to recognize his experience, and appointed him as a member of their Government Relations Committee.
David is passionate about the environment. As a City Councillor he championed Toronto’s first tree by-law. He is currently a member of the Humber Watershed Alliance. In 1998 he received the Canadian Institute of Planners S. George Rich award for his work on making the Humber a Heritage River. He was awarded the Commemorative Medal for the 125th Anniversary of the Confederation of Canada for voluntary service to our community.
As a member of the Royal LePage Homeward team, he is putting to use his wide experience and, with his customary energy and care for detail, matching customers with homes they love and can afford. He is waiting to find you the home you are looking for in the neighbourhood where you belong.
